If you have found this website/blog you may already know that I am absolutely blessed to be married to a farmer. While I was not born on a farm, I was always drawn to them. I live in a part of the Midwest where most of our ancestry were farmers. My father was raised on a farm but didn't farm himself. I've always thought that farming was in my blood, and it just took the right conditions for me to be allowed to appreciate it.

When remodeling our house one year we ran across a piece of wood that had our family last name on it, our city and they year 1910. I was so moved by this. I felt like we were doing our part in keeping the farm going by making necessary improvements. However, I also felt spoiled in the fact that I wanted more than what they had built.
Little did I know how hard that past generation actually worked for the little bit they had. When there were not pieces of equipment to move large rocks for the foundation of a house or basement what did they use? Most of the time they didn't want to over work the horses, because their job was in the field. When we replaced to rock walls of our basement with cinder block, I felt humbled by how we destroyed their hard work in less than a day. That work must have taken them years!
With all of that in mind, you will understand how I feel about things that are done on the farm. There is always something to do, always another challenge, so why not add a tallow business? I've found that when my husband is busy, I have to be as well. So why not try to get things back to the way it used to be in 1910 when there weren't so many extra ingredients in everything?
Our whipped tallow has three ingredients. That's it! No extra garbage in there to clog your pores, or soak into your body to just have to figure out how to get rid of. We render locally raised tallow. We choose this because you never know what you are getting online. So why risk it when it's available just a few miles away? Then we infuse it with Organic Castor Oil. We choose this for its anti-inflammatory and healing properties. If making unscented, that's all that goes in our Whipped Tallow. If it's scented, we use 100% pure essential oils to ensure that there are only the best ingredients in there.
We will not sell anything that we haven't used ourselves and absolutely loved. So, while you may not find a huge selection of product on our website, you can be assured that it ranks up there with the best of the best. Don't take my word for it, try some today!
